Background

Local STEM Workshops and Events get kids excited to learn about and develop a passion for STEM. It is very important for kids to be exposed to STEM from a young age. However, due to COVID-19, many of these STEM events have been canceled and younger kids are unable to access these events. We want to help these kids who aren’t receiving the same opportunities by creating free STEM Webinars and hosting virtual workshops that help kids learn about and develop a passion for STEM.

What We Do

Every now and then usually about every month we release a new STEM webinar/workshop focused on a different STEM topic usually followed by a live, virtual STEM workshop. The kids who attend do not need to watch the webinars related to the topic to attend the event. Instead, kids who attend our workshops will learn all of the basics and develop more advanced skills while having fun as they work to solve a problem! Students who plan on attending the event must sign up at least a week before the event. (More detailed information on how to do this will be provided on the flyer sent out by the students’ school.) A link for the zoom meeting will only be given out once the student has signed up for the workshop. There will be a set limit on the number of students who may attend so first come first serve!
